We are Conversely.

We build tools that enable businesses and organizations to optimize their interactions with social media and promote themselves effectively on Twitter by getting more followers and retweets through organized campaigns with measurable ROIs.

We believe that the web is undergoing a revolution, much like it did when Google was first unveiled to the world more than a dozen years ago. The way we discover and consume inf­­­­ormation on the web is changing – in fact, has already fundamentally changed. The number of visits to social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter has begun to overtake the number of visits to search engines. To be sure, we are not declaring the death of Google anytime soon, but rather that social media has dramatically changed the game, and yet remains rather mysterious in the ways in which it directs eyeballs on the web.

Search engine optimization (SEO) and search-engine marketing (SEM) are billion-dollar industries today and essential to the success of any business that relies on the web, which is to say, pretty much all of them. On the other hand, social media optimization (SMO) is a fledging term – recently coined, barely understood, and rarely used. The social web is undoubtedly a big driver of traffic, but the landscape of social media today closely resembles the web before search engines – disorganized, fragmented, and thus overwhelming to consume. To be sure, we are not the only ones working on organizing and gaining a better understanding of the social web, but we do want to be at the forefront of that movement, building powerful tools while standing on the shoulders of giants.

We love that social media has empowered businesses and organizations to delight their customers and fans like never before. Some examples are Bestbuy’s Twelpforce with over 2,300 employees on Twitter (also check out the other business case studies on Twitter off that same link) and this great story about PF Changs. We love the way people respond when their favorite local restaurant follows them on Twitter and really CARES about what they have to say as well as telling them about great deals. And of course, we’d love to help you create more great stories.
